Heard your voice outside my room, wishin' that this was just a tomb for everything we could've been. I guess you could say that again.
Obsess, obsess and waste your time over things you can't control so you stay inside, and you try to write.
I thought I heard you knocking, but that was far too commonplace, so I'll still take you to and from work, and I'll let you scream in my face.
The thoughts run through again and again over things that you once were, things you could've been. Seems like it never ends.
Brace yourself for one hell of a fight, cause if it didn't come today, it's gonna come tonight. But you'll be alright.
And every night at like 2:30- when I should really be asleep, I'm up smoking hitters in my room, leaving all the lights on when I black out at 3.
And I thought I heard you knocking, but that was really just a dream, so I'll still take you to and from work, and I'll forget that this keeps on happening.

I can feel the pull of the waves
Draggin' me deeper everyday.
If here is what's meant, then here I will stay.
If that's what you want anyways.
Well, you watched me watch you walk away.
You asked me what's wrong and I said "Hey,
You wouldn't like it if I had said and
that's okay, but if you don't mind I'd really like to
have the subject change so 'how are you?'
'How's it goin'?' and 'How was your day?'
And man, look at the time. It's getting late"
